The North Fork of the Stanislaus River passes through the Giant Sequoia groves of Calaveras Big Trees State Park in Northern California. For a brief time during the Spring–when snow is melting in the Sierra–the “North Stan” offers some of the most technical Class IV whitewater rafting in California. It is not a float trip. This trip is for hard-working paddlers with a taste for thrills, chills and spills.
