Offseason Gig
Manager of a Climbing Gym
About me
When we have the odd day off, it is a toss-up if I want to get back on the river and go kayaking or take a more conventional day off and relax and play some disc golf. In the off-season, I personally don't like being cold, so the gig of working full-time managing a climbing gym really helps with that.

How I found OARS
I took a two-year diploma in Adventure studies in Canada, where my instructor, who taught me everything about rafting and whitewater, was a previous Angles Camp manager. He told me how great it was working in AC and all the amazing rivers you get to work, and from then, I was building my resume to apply to this branch of OARS.
My Favorite Spot on the River/Outdoors
The North Fork of the Stanislaus, top to bottom, has been unbelievably special. Every rapid is memorable, and the whole stretch is beautiful.
My Favorite Trip Memory
My favourite memory while guiding was taking my mom on her first class 4 section, where she screamed at the top of her lungs every single rapid.
My Lucky Charm
I keep an empty shotgun shell in my PFD.
I Can’t Live Without
Water and a sun hoodie.
