“Work hard, play harder.“ I seem to be in constant motion! When not rowing dories in Grand Canyon, I work in a hot glass studio with my husband, best friend, and soulmate, Roger Dale! We ski, farm, row, and make art!

The Best Part of My Job

It’s always a journey…the weather, the people, the place…and mostly the boats, oh those beautiful dories, especially my little Ticaboo! She and I have over 25 years of experiences together! And if those boats could talk…what they would say about their journeys!

How I found OARS

Regan Dale and the history between the Dale family and Martin Litton. Roger Dale is the love of my life and he asked me to go boating in 1983! Ote Dale had me as her assistant cook. She showed me the way. And my Daddy…he told me, “Never let anyone tell you that you’re too little or because you’re a girl that you can’t set out to do anything in life. “

My Favorite Spot on the River/Outdoors

Thunder River! Fossil Rapid! Because life can be challenging down there, camping should be easy, so the biggest, flattest beach possible works for me at the end of the day! Waking up on the Ticaboo at first light and bringing my fellow guides their favorite morning beverage! That’s how we like to start our day!

My Favorite Trip Memory

Getting ourselves out of dynamic situations and bringing the team back to center, then moving downstream again.

My lucky charm is Regan Dale. He believed in me, and I would not be here without him!

I Can’t Live Without

I have everything I need, want, and desire while on the river. I do miss ice, though.
