Why O.A.R.S. in Wyoming?
Despite its remote location, Wyoming is as big and beautiful as any adventure vacation destination in the U.S. and O.A.R.S. offers you something most other Wyoming adventure travel companies can't give you—unprecedented access to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.
O.A.R.S.' Yellowstone and Grand Teton tours stand out from other guided trips in the parks because of our focus on seeing the must-see sites without the crowds and our commitment to taking our guests beyond the boardwalks and paved pathways. As the only park concessioner with an overnight permit for Jackson Lake in Grand Teton National Park, O.A.R.S. offers one-of-a-kind paddling experiences, which provide access to some of the park’s most pristine lakeside campsites and remote hiking trails that are inaccessible to any other commercial outfitter. In addition, sea kayaks provide an active and engaging way to explore Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks and unobtrusively view the abundant wildlife and geothermal features of the area.
O.A.R.S. is 100 percent family-owned and operated, which means we control all our own activities and schedules and we don’t have to rely on subcontractors for anything. We’ve been operating kayaking and multi-sport adventures in Wyoming for over 25 years and O.A.R.S. sets the industry standard for high-quality service and excellence in adventure. We have led more than 500,000 guests to some of the most beautiful places on Earth, never losing sight of one of our foremost goals: to make the joys of the wilderness accessible to everyone—no matter how experienced. Our guides are safety-conscious with extensive experience and our team of friendly and knowledgeable Adventure Consultants are available year-round to answer your calls and help plan your Wyoming vacation.
We care about the places we visit. O.A.R.S. follows "minimum impact" travel procedures by traveling in small groups and avoiding areas that are under-managed or over-visited. We're a proud partner of Leave No Trace and we actively train our guides and seek to educate our guests in LNT practices. We supply reusable insulated travel mugs on all of our multi-day trips and encourage our guests to refuse single use products. Each year, in partnership with our guests, we actively support regional conservation efforts through voluntary traveler donations and fundraising events. Our offices in California and Grand Canyon are also 100% solar powered.

Join O.A.R.S. for VIP Access to Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks
The legends of the Wild West are embraced by the jagged glory of the 13,770-foot Grand Teton and the geothermal wonders of Yellowstone National Park. In the early 1800's, this Wyoming wilderness marked the edge of an unknown land where the Rocky Mountains soar out of the Great American Plains. Less than a century later, after the great battles and adventures of legends like William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody, Crazy Horse and Kit Carson, the arrival of homesteaders, outlaws and heroes marked the last days of the wild, western frontier. Today, Wyoming is still steeped in cowboy culture and the lifestyles of big, bold Wyoming backcountry.
These days, Jackson, Wyoming is a rafting, hiking, climbing, running and biking mecca. If it involves aerobic activity, you can find it here. But popular spots can get crowded, and you don’t want to visit Wyoming just to get stuck in traffic, do you? Our adventurous itineraries offer rare experiences in both Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park, via "easy-to-learn and handle" sea kayaks, by raft and on foot—by lakeshore, river and trail—without the crowds. These unique Wyoming adventures transport you into the heart of the largest unspoiled wilderness in the continental U.S., to the shores and swells of its biggest mountain lake, and through the pristine habitat of some of the nation's largest animal populations.
