How I found OARS

I had a moment of enlightenment on the Lower Salmon a few years ago, and after years of running rivers recreationally, I decided this is where I needed to be and made a career pivot.

My Favorite Spot on the River/Outdoors

The Dolores River. I had an amazing high water trip there a couple of years ago, just two of us and the dogs, rarely saw another human. To see that place, those walls will always be a favorite.

My Favorite Trip Memory

Staring at the clouds, laying on the beach at Rip 2, just laughing and enjoying the company of someone I love.

My Lucky Charm

I have a black dragon rubber duck named Bam Bam. He points out the rocks, I try and dodge ‘em.

I train search and rescue dogs in my spare time.
