A Brother’s Fountain is a Colorado-based band with a folk-inspired sound you always wanted to hear but never knew existed. Some categorize them as Indie Folk. Others call them an Americana band. A Brother’s Fountain knows they belong to a genre all its own: Campfire Folk. Songs range from rowdy and anthemic to reflective, laid-back sing-alongs. Keep an ear out to hear their trademark “gang vocals” that invite the listener to throw their voice into the anthem.

This rag-tag crew of best buds and mountain junkies (river guides, rock climbers, backpackers, cyclists, skiers, etc.) started their music journey busking on the street corners of Old Town Fort Collins, Colorado. Their music is inspired by life’s extraordinary gifts–Mother Nature, authentic friendship, epic adventures, and the mysteries that keep us ever-curious.

Mountain Music on the Salmon River invites you to step away from the noise of daily life and fully embrace what draws people to the river in the first place: time outside, shared moments, and the simple joy of being present. With A Brother’s Fountain along for the journey, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for wild places, camaraderie, and the small things that tend to matter most in life. Their music invites reflection and sing-along energy in equal measure, creating space to slow down, look up, and enjoy where you are and who you’re with. Set against the backdrop of days spent rafting and nights under starry skies, music becomes an integral part of the trip’s rhythm, encouraging you to unplug, laugh a little louder, and savor these magical moments spent outdoors together.

As you wind your way down the Lower Salmon River through the Seven Devils region in Idaho, you’ll experience fun and splashy Class III rapids combined with easy floating, warm water for swimming, and plenty of opportunities to hop off the rafts and explore. Each day, you’ll pull up to sprawling white-sand beaches, perfect for camp games, relaxing in the sunshine, and moving to the music while your guides prepare delectable feasts. You’ll dine riverside with your fellow rafters, and as the setting sun gives way to a stunning celestial sky, you’ll relish in life’s little moments with good music, good conversation, and good people.
