Nelson, British Columbia

What’s the best part of your job?

I enjoy working with the OARS team and seeing the many amazing destinations that OARS serves.

Tell us about your favorite rapid, hike or camp and what makes it special

Any Class III-IV rapid in a dory has to be my favorite. I like that you have to work with the guide to keep the boat upright.

Do you have a lucky charm or special river tradition?

My special river tradition is to try not to drown.

What can you not live without on a trip?

It used to be cigars but I am so over that now. Nowadays, a man likes a good single malt after a long day of healthy living.

Fun fact, special talent or favorite guiding memory

I play the ukulele. Not well, mind you, but just enough to be dangerous.
