Getting to meet new people, being out on the water, and sharing the outdoors.

Tell us about your favorite rapid, hike or camp and what makes it special.

Seidel’s Suckhole on the Arkansas River will always be my favorite. The first 3 times I guided it I ended up swimming, but it’s been smooth sailing since.

Do you have a lucky charm or special river tradition?

In my PFD I have a magic crystal from a cave in Mexico that keeps me safe. Also, snacks.

Fun fact, special talent or favorite guiding memory.

Seeing wildlife is always a really fun part of the job. Bighorn sheep and bears are cool, but seeing river otters is definitely my favorite!

When I’m not on the water I spend my time rock climbing, skiing, and playing the piano.
