Sharing the sights, sounds, beauty and vastness of Grand Canyon with people who really appreciate the landscape and solitude.

Tell us about your favorite rapid, hike or camp and what makes it special…

I have had many memorable nights and a few layovers at Lava Chuar Camp. The hiking is limitless, and the views in that section of the canyon are incredible.

Do you have a lucky charm or special river tradition?

I carry on my grandad’s approach to a morning routine: “It doesn’t take much water to make good coffee.”

What can you not live without on a trip?

My dinosaur pillow.

Fun fact, special talent or favorite guiding memory…

Getting ejected from my boat and swimming Upset Rapid, while the boat stayed upright and everyone in it had a good ride. That was pretty memorable for me – and quite entertaining for everyone else.
