What’s the best part of your job?

Pushing off from the beach for a days excitement.

Tell us about your favorite rapid, hike, or camp and what makes it special.

I love Bouncing Rock, the closer we can get to the rock the bigger the splash at the bottom.

Do you have a lucky charm or special river tradition?

Chug at least three liters of water before leaving camp (so important to stay hydrated!).

What can you not live without while at work or on a trip?

Lippy! Can’t go anywhere without my chapstick (and at least one spare).

Fun fact, special talent or favorite guiding/trip memory.

Later than most to river guiding, my first trip out as a professional guide it struck me that it has taken me 30-something years in an office to discover the best job in the world!

About me…

Ski host and snow cat driver in the winter months. Lots of snow gets me excited for two reasons. Firstly ….. pow! Secondly ….. SNOW MELT AND WHITE WATER, BABY!
