OARS. Launches New Cuba Sea Kayaking Adventure
Angels Camp, Calif. — OARS., the veteran adventure outfitter, is excited to announce their new sea kayaking adventure in Cuba with the inaugural trip launching right before the New Year.
Once off-limits to most Americans, Cuba is OARS.’ newest adventure destination, featuring an eight-day people-to-people adventure tour through Cuba’s coastlines and cities, mountains and wetlands. Trips begin in Havana, where so much of this country’s history and future converge with intoxicating flare. Guests will feast on local fare and explore this vibrant city, including the Ernest Hemingway Museum. From there, guests will snorkel amidst Cuba’s thriving coral reefs in the Bay of Pigs, sea kayak on secluded lagoons and, along the southern coast, view abundant bird life including flamingos, spoonbills, hawks, tocororo and herons.
Handcrafted to blend stunning countryside excursions with authentic cultural encounters, and featuring visits to Cojimar, Colonial Havana, the Bay of Pigs, Playa Giron, and Cienfuegos, guests can witness Cuba’s tempestuous history and multifaceted modernity—and take advantage of this new travel opportunity and experience the Cuba they’ve always dreamed of.
The first trip launches on December 30, just in time to sneak in an adventure of a lifetime to celebrate the New Year. Additional trips are scheduled in February, March and April 2017.
