Adventure Overview
This uniquely active outdoor adventure on the “Wild and Scenic” Rogue River provides the opportunity to both hike and raft amidst the beauty and wildlife of Southern Oregon.
Escorted by an expert guide, hikers carry only enough water to drink, and a delicious packed lunch on this Oregon hiking adventure along the 40-mile Rogue River Trail. If desired, rafting is an alternative activity for those who wish to experience the river during the day.
Arriving in camp each afternoon, guests will be greeted with appetizers, a dinner spread on the beaches of the Rogue and an eclectic selection of Oregon wines & local brews. After a day of energetic Oregon hiking or whitewater rafting, it will be time to bed down in warm sleeping bags, atop thick, cozy, ground pads inside (or outside) a roomy tent under the starry night sky serenaded by the crickets and the rush of the passing flows of the mellow Rogue River.
Although the Rogue River Trail is only moderately challenging overall, it is at times steep, rocky and narrow with exposed sections and therefore is not recommended for people who have a fear of heights or children under the age of 12 years.
