ANGELS CAMP, CA – Veteran outfitter, O.A.R.S., is introducing three new additions to its collection of award-winning nature-based adventures, expanding the company’s offerings to more than 80 itineraries across five continents. O.A.R.S. is launching their brand-new Bosnia Three Rivers rafting expedition alongside their new Sea Kayaking the Dalmatian Coast tour and their Zambezi River & Botswana Safari tour.
O.A.R.S.’ new Bosnia Three Rivers rafting and cultural adventure shines the light on Europe’s most underappreciated cultural and adventure destination: Bosnia. This nine-day adventure features three days of rafting the Vrbas, Tara and Neretva rivers—three rivers that collectively offer the best whitewater in all of Europe. Trip participants will spend time taking in the cosmopolitan city of Sarajevo and the culturally-rich towns of the surrounding countryside. Bosnia’s reputation has been clouded by past decades of war and conflict, and it remains one of Europe’s last hidden secrets—a worthy destination for any adventurer’s bucket list. More information and a full itinerary can be found at http://www.oars.com/bosnia.
Croatia, a neighboring country of Bosnia, is the setting of O.A.R.S.’ new Sea Kayaking the Dalmatian Coast tour. This nine-day sea kayaking expedition explores the most breathtaking coastline of the entire Mediterranean—The Dalmatian Coast of Croatia and Montenegro. Trip participants will paddle sea kayaks as they navigate the rocky headlands, sandy beaches, turquoise bays and ancient coastal towns of this beautiful coastline. Each village along the way provides opportunities to interact with the locals and enjoy authentic Mediterranean cuisine while taking in the scenery, architecture and culture of the region. A relaxing four-day catamaran cruise down the coast rounds out this idyllic experience in the Adriatic Sea. More information and a full itinerary can be found at http://www.oars.com/croatia.
In 1981, O.A.R.S. helped finance the first descent of Africa’s legendary Zambezi River and in 2012 they are returning to Zambia with their brand-new eight-day Zambezi River & Botswana Safari, which combines a four-day rafting expedition on the mighty Zambezi with a three-day wildlife safari in neighboring Botswana. Rafters will embark from the base of spectacular Victoria Falls on a whitewater rafting expedition down the Zambezi’s notorious Class V rapids. A scenic helicopter ride back up the river provides sweeping views of the Batoka Gorge and Victoria Falls. It’s then on to Botswana for three days on safari in Chobe National Park, home to an amazingly diverse selection of wildlife. Guests will have chances to observe lions, hippos, giraffes, impala, water buffalo, crocodiles and one of Africa’s largest populations of elephants. More information and a full itinerary can be found at http://www.oars.com/zambia.
All of these new adventures are featured in the 2012 O.A.R.S. catalog, available at oars.com/catalog or by calling (800) 346-6277. Or, view the digital version on any desktop browser or mobile device at http://ow.ly/6VeNw.
