O.A.R.S. Seeks to Inspire the Next Generation of Adventurers with New Family Catalog
O.A.R.S. showcases 22 “easy-to-epic” adventures designed for families looking to “unplug from technology” and “reconnect as a family,” including their brand-new Machu Picchu Family Adventure.
ANGELS CAMP, CA – February 28, 2012 – Veteran family adventure vacations outfitter, O.A.R.S., is excited to release the 2012 edition of their Family Adventures Catalog. The catalog includes 22 of the best family-friendly adventures that O.A.R.S. has to offer, including their brand-new Machu Picchu Family Adventure and their classic family trips in the Grand Canyon, Idaho, Yellowstone, Yosemite & Costa Rica. O.A.R.S. Director of Marketing, Steve Markle, emphasized that: “No other type of vacation offers what a river trip does: the chance to unplug from our highly-connected lives and reconnect as a family. Our guides take care of the meals, all the activities and camp set-up is a breeze. Our trips are all-inclusive and virtually every night features riverside, beachfront accommodations with a view.”
Award-winning journalist T. Edward Nickens is the featured contributor to the Family Adventures Catalog. His heartfelt narrative of his own experience on a guided river trip on the Rogue River in Oregon with his 10-year-old daughter provides a compelling case for booking a rafting trip to reconnect with your kids. The 1800-word article also offers practical advice for planning a first-time wilderness trip with your family.
The 22 family adventure vacations featured in the 2012 Catalog include classic family river trips as well as a selection of thoughtfully designed multi-sport family adventures. New for 2012, the Machu Picchu Family Adventure is an eight-day multi-sport adventure in Peru that features Class III rafting, an Amazon Jungle zip-line canopy tour and a two-day guided tour of the ruins at Machu Picchu. Families will also have the unique opportunity to participate in a community volunteer program, whereby families will be able to prepare breakfast for a group of Peruvian children and join in a round of games before the children start school for the day.
The 2012 O.A.R.S. Family Adventures Catalog is available free of charge at oars.com/catalog or by calling (800) 346-6277. Or, view the digital version on any desktop browser or mobile device here.
