Deep in the Siskiyou Mountains of southwestern Oregon, the “Wild and Scenic” Rogue River winds its way through 40 miles of one of the most beautiful pine-forested canyons in North America. During the day, we’re surrounded by the life shaping beauty experienced while rafting the Rogue River while we spend two evenings at riverside lodge accommodations that offer more than just a hot shower and a warm bed – lounging on the porch away from it all in a place beyond description and relaxing with friends, both old and newfound.
Rogue River Rafting: Oregon Lodge Trip - Itinerary at a Glance
- Our Rogue River rafting trip begins at the Galice Resort where we board rafts or inflatable kayaks for a few days of scenic adventure
- Warm up rapids lead to Rainey Falls and a bit further downriver a possible side hike to Whiskey Creek Cabin
- End the day at Black Bar Lodge, where there will be time to relax and take a shower before sitting down to dinner
- Inflatable kayaks are put to use as the most adventurous take control of their own crafts in exciting rapids like Tyee and Wildcat
- Spot myriad wildlife, including turtles, deer, bear, otter, osprey, great blue heron and bald eagles while floating through the breathtaking scenery that surrounds the river
- Raft through Mule Creek Canyon with steep basalt sides towering above and invigorating rapids such as the swirling Coffeepot
- Scout and run the notorious Blossom Bar Rapid
- A relaxing evening at either Paradise Lodge or Half Moon Bar Lodge awaits when the excitement of rafting is over

- After a hearty breakfast, we pack our bags, load the boats and answer the hardest question of the day: Who's going in the inflatable kayaks?
- A short float after lunch delivers us to our take-out point at Foster Bar for a scenic drive back to Galice and the conclusion of our trip
