Hiking Adventures in America's Southwest & in Peru

Hiking Adventures with OARS

At O.A.R.S. over the years, we’ve always included hiking as one of the core activities of many of our river trips. In some cases, we feature in our paddling trips incredible hiking destinations that are only accessible from the river. But until recently, we rarely offered adventure vacations specifically designed for our active travelers who hike, run, bike and live a more active lifestyle.

This year, in 2008, we decided to expand our adventure vacation options to include a series of active hiking adventures that all include in-depth local explorations led by our friendly, knowledgeable O.A.R.S. guides combined with all the creature comforts and delicious meals you’d expect on an O.A.R.S. river trip. From archaeology-themed safaris in the Four Corners region in America's West to a raft-supported hiking trip on the 39.5-mile Rogue River Trail in Oregon, all of our hiking trips access pristine wilderness and feature the very best natural sites these regions have to offer the intrepid adventure traveler.

Join us on one of our unique new O.A.R.S. hiking tours this year and you can experience for yourself why these trips are unforgettable adventures of a lifetime..
