Guide For: Grand Canyon
Hometown: Norwood, CO
Favorite Food: Old-school-grown from good grass, dirt and water. Elk harvested after the first big snow. Chips, salsa and cold beer!
Favorite Music: Bob Marley, Arlo Guthrie, Talking Heads, Jimmy Hendrix, Al Green, Miles Davis and Lyle Lovett
Favorite thing about working for O.A.R.S.: Aside from the six figure income, which is nice, I'd say traveling with fine folks who share an appreciation for the soul-shaping power of wild landscapes. There has likely never been a point in human history where this connection is so valuable and threatened. Cold beer and sunsets are pretty sweet as well.
Greatest Memory: Oh boy, they kinda blend into one fuzzy-happy-little-ditty. Even the hard times. If I filter one out at the moment....I'd say riding in the back of Martin Litton's dory, 87 years young then, as he fired up Lava rapid in Grand Canyon. Time stood still in that moment.
Other Hobbies: Rivers, mountains, canyons, wild places and recently growing good food from good dirt.
Special Talents: Making mistakes and relying on the patience of my friends.
Time with O.A.R.S.: Since 2000
