Guide For: Idaho and has also guided in the Galápagos Islands, Chile and Fiji.
Hometown: Lewiston, Idaho
Favorite Food: It's tough to beat a bite of fresh bread fresh out of the Dutch oven smeared with butter.
Favorite Music: Anything with a rippin' harmonica solo.
Favorite thing about working for O.A.R.S.: Working with other talented guides as we pool together our collective abilities and life experiences to provide amazing river adventures for our guests.
Greatest Memory: Dropping a dory into Granite Rapid in Hells Canyon for the first time. I was 19 years old and got to row the Stanislaus as a trainee... The water was flowing around 18 or 19,000cfs and the green wave that forms at that level was huge! I thought the river was going to swallow me up and never let go. There was no reason that I didn't flip, but I was hooked from that moment on.
Other Hobbies: Whitewater kayaking, international travel, woodworking, trail running, off-road motorcycle tours, and brewing beer.
Special Talents: I can stand on my head for hours, but you'll get bored watching.
Time with O.A.R.S.: Since 1999
