“Everything was exceptional - I honestly think that it could not have been any better. Enjoying an exceptional meal, with a world-class beer, with a professional crew of staff at a place only accessible by raft. I feel restricted by not being able to rate [the trip] any higher than excellent. For me, the trip was nothing short of perfection.”
- Randall McCutcheon, Palmdale, CA (Rogue River Craft Beer Tasting Trip)
Craft Beer Tasting
"He was a wise man who invented beer." Plato
Why does beer taste so good after a day on the river? Maybe because beer is mostly water and paddling through exhilarating rapids can leave you parched. In any case, we think you'll agree that after an active day of adventure, enjoying hand-selected micros-brews on the banks of a river is about as good as it gets. Hang out with new friends and sip a few beers beneath the stars while enjoying inspired culinary offerings prepared by a gourmet chef to compliment and enhance the taste of each brew. Cheers!
As prepared by Chef David Georgeson of the Ashland Springs Hotel in Ashland, Oregon
- crawfish fritters with saffron aioli
- seared albacore tuna loin with wasabi cream
- roasted red pepper hummus with pita chips and vegetables
- hawaiian pink sea salt crusted fillet of alaskan copper river sockeye salmon with a pineapple salsa, coconut infused wild rice pilaf, and olive oil tossed micro mustard greens
- pear-cornmeal upside down cake with a maple infused mascarpone cheese, fennel coulis and dried pear chip
