Sea of Cortez Island Hopping in Baja, Mexico - Overview
Our most popular excursion for those who want to experience the best Baja, Mexico has to offer, this O.A.R.S. adventure includes Baja whale watching, sea kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, fishing & visiting local Baja fishing villages. Traveling between destinations by boat, we’ll camp on five different islands and visit a number of others as we make our way from La Paz, Mexico to Loreto. We see dolphins by the hundreds, sea lions sunning on rocky pinnacles, mantas leaping from the water and on spring trips very possibly blue, humpback, sperm or fin whales as we cruise from island to island.

“The destination was everything we had imagined and more. Secondly we enjoyed the service of the local guide (Carlos) and his staff of Mar y Adventures. We were impressed by their personability, their knowledge of the area, their pace of traveling from one place to another, and their culinary ability and menu selection. Thirdly, we enjoyed the group size and the people in our group. We truly appreciated the guide’s ability in making the overall trip one of the most memorable travel experiences we have had. Thank you for a wonderful trip.”

“Just got back from the Baja trip and can not tell you what a wonderful experience it was. The scenery and environment and the hiking, snorkeling, and kayaking (not to mention the star gazing) was so memorable. What a terrific trip. I am planning to do the same trip again as soon as possible. It greatly exceeded my very high expectations.”

“We had a great time. Trip was perfectly well organized, food was delicious, and best of all, our guide Carlos was the most knowledgeable naturalist I've ever met on a trip of this kind. He knows the birds, plants, fish, marine invertebrates and marine mammals well enough to have something interesting to say about virtually everything we saw, heard, or hoped to see. That was just wonderful: exactly what I want in an outdoors trip. He is of course friendly and funny and easy to be around, too.”
